RENAULT TRUCKS MASTER AND JDS TRUCKS DELIVER RELIABILITY WITH SUPERB SERVICE SUPPORT TO DRIVE MORLEY GLASS’ RAPID GROWTH
Following exceptional customer service and product reliability, Morley Glass, the UK’s market leader in the manufacture of Uni-Blinds® integral blind units, has further cemented its relationship with Renault Trucks by taking an additional 3.5 tonne Masters, two 135.35 panel vans and the company’s first 130.35 drop-side with tilt-frame body, supplied by JDS Trucks of Leeds.
The fast-growing market for integral blinds, which can be used on the hugely popular bi-folding doors, has driven demand from customers across the UK, and is one of the key reasons Morley Glass requires a dependable and resourceful delivery fleet, as Managing Director, Ian Short, explains: “We’ve worked extremely hard to build our reputation in the market for offering the highest quality by ensuring we source the best suppliers and manufacturers and deliver products that exceed customer expectations. Our reputation is so important that we simply cannot afford for inferior quality vans to let us or our customers down. That’s why we’ve always chosen Renault Trucks’ vans through JDS Trucks as we are guaranteed superb vehicles, backed up by Peter Glover and his team giving the best quality service and maintenance support.”
The Master panel vans are equipped with specialist glass transport systems that include exterior roof racks and side racks, and internal glass frame racking by Tameside Glass. Bodybuilding for Morley Glass’ Master drop-side with tilt-frame body was by Truckcraft Bodies Ltd.
The Masters join Morley Glass’ 17-strong Renault Trucks exclusive fleet delivering integral blinds and standard double glazed units to customers across the UK. As such, service and back up were crucial factors in the new vehicle selection as Ian Short continues: “The Renault Trucks’ Master vans operated by Morley Glass will clock up to 100,000 miles every year and with a 3-4 year service life, it’s a busy schedule that requires expert support from JDS Trucks who ensure our vans are kept on the road as much as possible.”
Ian adds, “We’ve been a customer of Renault Trucks since 1998 and we receive an exceptional service from JDS Trucks, thanks to the great relationship we have with our client manager Darren Mosley. Darren and his team have invested time to understand our business and never let us down. JDS Trucks Aftersales department also provides twilight servicing for us which means our vans are being maintained overnight and not when we need them most during the working day. This is extremely beneficial, helping us maintain optimum efficiency in our fleet. The fact that JDS Trucks is a main dealer, well stocked with parts, ensures they will usually have what we need and this means our vans almost always go for service at 4pm and return early the next morning as planned.”
“It’s not just the service and reliability that matter though. The Renault Trucks’ vans may be our workhorses, but the cabs are really well equipped and our drivers love the comfort level. The low loading platform is perfect too, ensuring we can load and unload as easily and safely as possible. We’ve never swayed from our choice of Renault Trucks’ vans through JDS and I think they have both played an important role in our high customer approval ratings. I look forward to continuing our long standing relationship as Morley Glass enters its exciting next phase.”
Darren Mosely, JDS Trucks, comments on the deal: “We are proud to have been working with Morley Glass for nearly 20 years and pleased that they have once again turned to Renault Trucks and JDS for their new vehicles. We understand how hard they have worked to build their outstanding reputation and we are delighted to have played a part in their success. We very much look forward to working with Ian and his team on any future vehicle requirements.”
