"Our classic BRS vehicle display is always very popular and this year visitors will have the chance to experience the latest in vehicle technology with models from the new Renault Trucks range. BRS 66 promises to be our best yet!”

BRS Ltd is proud to sponsor BRS 66, celebrating the 66th anniversary of the formation of BRS (British Road Services).  Organised by former BRS employee Alex Saville and truck enthusiast Robin Masters, the BRS 66 event will be held on 13 July 2014 at Lincoln Farm Cafe, Solihull.  The bi-annual event attracts hundreds of past and present employees of BRS as well as truck enthusiasts, who come together to celebrate the company’s proud history.

One of the main attractions at the event will be a striking vehicle display of old and new, showcasing 25 vintage BRS-liveried trucks with two of the latest models from Renault Trucks’ new Euro 6 line up, a Range T for long distance operations and a Range D for distribution applications.

“We hope to build on the huge success of BRS 64, which attracted over 500 people across the day,” comments event organiser, Robin Masters.  “Once again, Lincoln Farm Cafe will play host to BRS 66, a great opportunity for old friends and colleagues to get together and for BRS employees, old and new, to celebrate the history of BRS, while truck enthusiasts will enjoy a great day out!  Our classic BRS vehicle display is always very popular and this year visitors will have the chance to experience the latest in vehicle technology with models from the new Renault Trucks range.  BRS 66 promises to be our best yet!”

Admission to BRS 66 is free and profits from sales of programmes will go to the MacMillan and Marie Curie Cancer Trusts.  Doors open at 9am, 13 July at Lincoln Farm Cafe, Kenilworth Road, Solihull, B92 0LS, conveniently located for M42 A452/B4102 intersection and close at 5pm.
