Vehicle Recall Check

Off

Renault Trucks prides itself on quality, reliability and safety for drivers, passengers, and other road users.

Occasionally, we have issues that our Engineering teams think are important enough to notify customers in order for them to be rectified. On a few occasions we also identify issues that may cause a safety issue with the vehicle, and for those we formally write to customers and also notify the DVSA. A more detailed explanation of this is below.

Over a truck's life, the customers change and the area of operation changes, and not all vehicles come back to a Manufacturer Service Point. This means some campaigns don’t get done.

This page allows you to check if there are any outstanding Safety or Customer notifiable campaigns on your vehicle, and find out where your closest Service Point is.

Safety Campaign – Beginning with a C

This is a safety related defect, which is a failure due to design and / or construction that is likely to affect the safe operation of the product without prior warning to the user and may pose a significant risk to the driver, occupants, and others. This defect could be common to a number of products that have been sold for use in the United Kingdom.

Rectification of the defect should be done as quickly as possible.

Customer Notifiable Campaign – Beginning with an M or Q

A preventative activity that will bring about improvements in on-going performance and uptime.

The image on the right is what will be returned when the VIN is input.

There will be a couple of error codes for VINs.

If it does not start with VF6 – ‘this code is not for a Renault Trucks provided product’.

All VIN’s are 17 digits if they don’t input the correct number – ‘Incorrect number of digits has been inputted – all VIN’s are 17 digits’.
