Electric delivery truck: sustainable transport for last mile and regional operations
May. 13 2026
Urban deliveries are the backbone of modern commerce. From supermarkets to retail outlets and e-commerce hubs, transport companies must ensure fast, reliable and cost-efficient deliveries. Yet, increasing restrictions in city centres, pressure to cut CO₂ emissions and rising fuel costs are pushing operators to find new solutions.
Renault Trucks E-Tech electric delivery trucks provide a future-ready alternative. With zero tailpipe emissions, quiet operation and reduced operating costs, they allow logistics companies, retailers and food distributors to continue delivering goods on time, while supporting sustainability goals and regulatory compliance.
Why choose an electric delivery truck?
Electric delivery trucks offer clear operational and environmental benefits for businesses of all sizes:
- Reduced emissions: Access Low and Zero Emission Zones (LEZ/ZEZ) without restrictions.
- Silent operation: Enables night-time and early morning deliveries in residential areas.
- Lower total cost of ownership: Thanks to lower electricity costs, efficient energy recovery during stop-and-go city operation and limited battery capacity required, TCO is significantly better.
- Positive brand image: A quiet, clean fleet enhances corporate reputation and customer trust.
The advantages of Renault Trucks E-Tech delivery vehicles
Adapted to urban logistics
With predictable routes, frequent stops and shorter distances, delivery cycles are perfectly suited for electric operation. Renault Trucks E-Tech vehicles are engineered to maximise efficiency and uptime in dense city traffic.
Predictable costs and simplified maintenance
With up to 30% lower maintenance costs compared to diesel, no oil changes and fewer moving parts, E-Tech trucks are easy to maintain. Charging is also cheaper and more stable in cost than refuelling, making budgets easier to control.
Wide choice of models and configurations
From 3.1-tonne vans to 26-tonne rigid trucks, the Renault Trucks E-Tech range covers all delivery needs. Whether transporting fresh food, parcels or retail stock, our vehicles can be configured to suit any body type or equipment.
Renault Trucks E-Tech range for delivery operations
- Renault Trucks E-Tech Master: the electric vans for last mile logistics. Compact, agile and available with multiple body options, it is ideal for parcel delivery, urban distribution and refrigerated transport.
- Renault Trucks E-Tech D: medium-duty delivery truck, available in 16 tonnes, perfectly suited for regional logistics and supermarket deliveries.
- Renault Trucks E-Tech D Wide: larger model for high-volume deliveries and urban distribution requiring maximum payload.
All models are designed to integrate with refrigerated bodies, parcel boxes and specialist equipment, ensuring maximum versatility for delivery companies.
Charging solutions designed for logistics
Delivery operations demand reliability and flexibility. Renault Trucks provides charging solutions that adapt to your operational needs:
- Depot charging for planned downtime: AC charging at the workshop or depot restores full battery levels overnight, ensuring trucks are ready to deploy each morning.
- Fast charging during operations: DC fast-charge points enable quick top-ups while crews take breaks or move between sites, reducing idle time and keeping productivity high.
With our expert partners, Renault Trucks offers turnkey charging infrastructure solutions, from site assessment to installation and maintenance.
