RENAULT TRUCKS RANGE T460 MID-LIFTS DELIVER IMPRESSIVE FUEL CONSUMPTION FOR JOHN BEATY TRANSPORT

Bulk haulage specialists, John Beaty Transport, Penrith, has seen their first Renault Trucks Range T460 mid-lift 6x2 tractors deliver impressive fuel consumption and payload. Supplied by Renault Trucks dealer, Border Trucks, Carlisle, the two Range T460s are the first Euro 6 Renaults in John Beaty’s 30-strong bulk tipper and blower fleet. Renault Truck’s reputation for excellent customer service, fuel consumption and driver satisfaction were the key factors in choosing the new vehicles as additions to their business.

Commenting on the decision to bring the company’s first Range Ts in to extend its fleet, John Beaty Transport’s Managing Director, Stuart Beaty says: “I’ve had Renaults before and I’ve always been really impressed so I thought I’d give the new Euro 6 Range Ts a go.  My relationship with Border Trucks has always been excellent and this was one of the key reasons I decided to go ahead and purchase the tractors. To be honest I was only going to buy one initially but I was so impressed I thought I’d go for two and I haven’t looked back since.”

Stuart continues: “Our new Range Ts have only been in operation for a few weeks and I’ve been delighted with the performance so far. I am really noticing how light they are, which is crucial for tippers, and they are delivering a whopping 29.5 tonne payload to boot. The fuel consumption has also been impressive, delivering up to 8.5mpg.  I also invested in some extras for the vehicles, including top of the range brown leather seats, and this has definitely paid off. Our drivers have commented on how comfortable the cab is and they seem extremely happy with the new additions. As a business owner I know only too well that happy drivers are more productive drivers.”

Stephen Whitehead, Managing Director, Border Trucks, says: “Stuart and I have had a close working relationship for many years and he’s always been a pleasure to do business with.  I am delighted that he has chosen Renault Trucks new Range Ts to extend his fleet and that the tractors are already delivering in terms of fuel economy, payload and driver satisfaction. Renault Trucks has really invested in new technologies in these areas and it’s great to see this paying off for our customers.”

John Beaty Transport was established in 1968 by John Beaty in the small village of Blencarn.  They moved to their present site at Carleton, Penrith in 1992 and after many years of successful trading, they have outgrown this site and will be moving again to larger premises in Penrith at the end of the year.
