Beware of scams!!!
I had the misfortune of breaking down with my Renault Master food truck in the Amiens region. The "injection failure" light came on, so I stopped at the nearest motorway service station and called my insurance company to have it towed. My insurer asked me which nearby garage I would like to take my truck to. Since I'm not from the area, I opted for this "Renault Truck" garage, thinking it would be the best place to repair my truck properly and quickly.
Of course, I told the garage that I needed my food truck because it's my work tool and that I had events scheduled the following weekend. They called me back the next morning to give me the results of their diagnosis: turbo failure. The estimate came to €3,500. I clearly felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that the truck was stuck at their place, that I was in an emergency situation, and that I wasn't anywhere nearby to give me an exorbitant quote.
The icing on the cake was that the workshop manager called me that afternoon to tell me that the part was out of stock at Renault, that he had no visibility on the delivery time, but that if I wanted my food truck in time for my weekend events, he could get a retrofit part, but that the quote would then be €4,000.
Given that the concept of retrofit parts is to be cheaper than manufacturer parts, this reinforced my feeling that they were taking advantage of this emergency situation to rip me off. They told me I was free to pick up my truck, but that I would then have to pay around €1,000 for the diagnostic (a very prohibitive price). Unfortunately, I accepted the quote because I was up against the wall and I thought (wrongly) that if I had to pay the €1,000 they were asking for + a tow at my expense + the repairs at another garage, I'd probably get the same price.
In the end, I was really screwed because I paid almost four times more than at an independent garage in the Amiens area that had good reviews on Google and that I had contacted for a quote (unfortunately, I received the €1,200 quote the day I was going to pick up my repaired truck at SOVIM Amiens). I'm fine with a manufacturer's garage charging higher prices than an independent garage, but a quote multiplied by four is truly outrageous. I truly felt held hostage in their garage, and they took advantage of it; it's a disgrace. I am attaching to this message the quote I paid to SOVIM as well as the quote made by another garage in the region.

An endless wait to pick up a vehicle, even though I called 2 hours in advance to let them know I was arriving. Apparently, a full day for servicing isn't enough at this garage.
