BJS Haulage 260 vehicle order

To support expansion and the launch of a new Haulage offering, family-run delivery business BJS Home Delivery has added 260 new Renault trucks and LCVs to its fleet, citing the long-standing positive relationship and service support from Renault Truck Commercials as central to the purchasing decision.

The latest deal is part of BJS’ ambitious expansion plans and rapid growth into the food, retail, construction and manufacturing haulage sectors and includes 80 Renault Trucks T480 6x2 tractor units, 5 T480 6x2 drawbar units and 175 Renault Trucks Master platform cabs with Trucksmith Loloader bodies.  All maintenance will be carried out at BJS Haulage’s local dealer Renault Trucks Midlands, in Tipton.

BJS Home Delivery was launched as a two-man delivery service during the recession in 2009 and is now a preferred partner for market-leading brands. As well as replacing some of BJS’s existing fleet, many of the new vehicles are additions for the new BJS Haulage company as they expand to cater for the larger end of the logistics industry.

Harinder Singh, Managing Director of BJS explains: “We selected Renault Trucks as the chosen manufacturer for our large increase in the fleets of both Home Delivery and Haulage due to the long-standing and positive relationship we have had for many years with Renault Truck Commercials on our 200+ home delivery fleet. They gave us the confidence in the service and support which we will continue to receive on these new HGVs.”

Harinder is full of further praise for the largest main dealer group in the Renault Trucks UK network: “Our relationship with Renault Truck Commercials has been brilliant; they have supported BJS with our constant growth in ensuring we have adequate vehicles on the road to meet and exceed our customer’s expectations. The sales and service teams are very easy to deal with and often go above and beyond. In particular their Sales Director, Rick Edwards has been a key figure in our relationship and especially with his knowledge and expertise, it often means we are able to agree the best options for our business, both commercially and operationally.”

Compassionate, spiritual values lie at the heart of the BJS organisation and Harinder Singh has recently partnered with the ‘Under One Sky’ community organisation to demonstrate the viability and necessity of employing those who are currently without a home, to greatly reduce homelessness in the UK. As well as offering employment as a driver’s mate to a homeless man, BJS Haulage and Under One Sky teams used one of the new Renault Trucks Ts to help distribute donations of gifts to those still on the streets in London. “Empathy and compassion in the corporate world should be the norm, not the exception and we hope that we have gone some way to shine a light on the positive contributions our previously homeless friends can make to businesses and their wider communities when given the chance,” says Harinder.

Renault Truck Commercials Sales Director, Rick Edwards comments on the deal: “We are delighted that BJS has once again chosen to trust us with their vehicle requirements at such a crucial time in their business development. Our team of transport professionals put our customer’s business at the heart of everything they do, ensuring products and services add value and make business sense.”

Rick Edwards continues: “We were also honoured to assist BJS by supplying an 18 tonne Renault Trucks rigid in support of the Under One Sky initiative. We look forward to working with Harinder and his team for many years to come and wish them every success as they expand their operation.”
