Renault Trucks has scooped two category awards at the Trade Van Driver Awards 2020.  Judges awarded the Renault Trucks Master High ‘Best Market Innovation’ and Renault Trucks Master Z.E. ‘Best Alternative Fuel Vehicle’.

In its ninth year, the awards, created by Trade Van Driver, the UK’s top van magazine for small business users, give recognition to the manufacturers, firms and people who, in the opinion of the judges, offer the very best to retail van buyers.

Presenting the Renault Trucks Master High with the Best Innovation Award, the judges said: “The team at Renault Trucks pride themselves on innovation and have yet again raised the bar with the Renault Master High.  It offers a neatly-packaged logistics solution for operators who use smaller vehicles for long distance tasks.  Unprecedented living space for the driver, including a proper bed in an LCV puts the Renault Trucks Master High ahead of the game.”

Available in six pallet capacity Curtainsider or GRP box body options, the Renault Trucks Master High is offered in LWB (L3) chassis cab in both FWD and RWD drivetrains, at 3500kgs and 4500kgs GVW with excellent payloads.

In awarding the highly acclaimed Renault Trucks Master Z.E. Red EDITION Best Alternative Fuel Vehicle, judges recognised the increasing importance of e-mobility in many operators’ procurement processes, noting: “Renault Trucks has embraced the opportunity, offering vehicles spanning gross vehicles weights and a large variety of logistics tasks.  The Renault Master Z.E. The all-electric Renault trucks Master Z.E. comes in six variants - four panel vans and two platform cabs - to meet the varied requirements of professionals working in urban environments, catering for not just ‘last mile’ logistics, but a wide range of other applications through Renault Trucks’ ‘Ready for Business’ range.  As well as a variety of vans, minibuses, MEWP cherry-pickers, construction welfare vehicles, refrigerated and many other vehicle types have already been produced in fully electric form.

The Renault Trucks Master Z.E. boasts a payload of up to 1,128kgs, a real-world operating range of 120 kms (75 mls) and can be fully charged in only six hours. Its loading volume of up to 13m3 is the same as a conventional diesel Renault Master as the batteries are mounted under the floor, with no intrusion into the load space.
