Following favourable experiences with Renault Premiums, Essex-based recycling, recovery and waste management specialists, P.F. Ahern (London) Ltd, has added the first Renault Trucks rigid to its line-up ahead of usual contenders DAF and Scania. Supplied by its local dealer Renault Trucks Essex, the 32 tonne Range C430 8x4 rollonoff with hooklift joins P.F, Ahern’s 20-strong mixed Renault Trucks, DAF, Scania and Volvo fleet.

The new Range C is used across the Essex area for the company’s local waste management services, collecting and delivering waste containers for many of P.F Ahern’s customer base. Resources Manager, Tony Anderson, explains why he chose Renault Trucks over DAF and Scania: “Renault Trucks put the most attractive deal on the table and I knew we had peace of mind as we’ve built up a great relationship with Renault Trucks Essex with the Premiums.”

Tony continued: “The Range C went on the road just before Christmas and so far so good. It’s early days, and too soon to give figures, but the fuel economy is certainly looking promising and early indications are for better MPG than the other vehicles. Driver acceptance is very important to the smooth running of our business and I’m pleased to say that our driver loves his new Range C. Overall, I have been so impressed with the Range C and service provided by Renault Trucks Essex that I have another vehicle on order.”
