Starting on 3 June, Ian succeeds Chris Sharp (pictured above right), who takes on the role of Managing Director of Renault Trucks’ wholly owned dealer group, Renault Truck Commercials.

In his new role, Ian will be responsible for developing the strategy and management of all of Renault Trucks’ aftersales activity in the UK. He will work with Renault Trucks UK’s Managing Director, Gino Costa, and the aftersales team to develop and maintain the Renault Trucks brand, with the main focus on customer satisfaction.

Commenting on his new role, Ian says: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to rejoin Renault Trucks and am looking forward to working with a very strong team in aftersales. As a very customer focused person, I enjoy customer facing roles and am looking forward to meeting our customers in the dealer network and ensuring we are meeting their needs. I am pleased to be picking up where Chris Sharp left off and continuing with success that he has achieved so far.”

Ian takes over from Chris Sharp who joined Renault Trucks in 1996. In his new role as Managing Director of Renault Truck Commercials, Chris will be managing a team of people, from technicians and salesmen to site managers and directors, across 13 sites in the UK. He will be responsible for managing and delivering profitable, sustainable growth.

Chris Sharp has been in the industry for over 20 years, beginning his career in truck rental. He joined Renault Trucks as a Sales Manager and has had various roles since, including Used Vehicle Director and Aftersales Director.

“My vision, as Managing Director of Renault Truck Commercials, is to drive a completely customer focused organisation, where every member of the team, from the technicians and service receptionists to the managers, sales people and drivers, are completely focused on delivering exceptional customer service at all times,” he explains. “I am looking forward to working with a new team and to the challenges and opportunities that this role will bring.”
