Renault Trucks UK Ltd is launching two exclusive packages, that will be provided free of charge, on all new range orders placed before 31 December 2013. A UK Fuel Eco pack, designed to help operators achieve even greater fuel efficiency from Renault Trucks vehicles and the Renault Trucks Simplicity pack, comprising a two year service and inspection or repair and maintenance contract, depending on the model.  Both packs have been developed to add further value to Renault Trucks’ ‘total cost of ownership’ approach, helping operators to maximise uptime, productivity and profitability over the life of the vehicle.

“We are confident that our new vehicle line up has been engineered to provide maximum efficiency and productivity for our operators,” says Nigel Butler, Commercial Director. “The introductions of the Fuel Eco and Renault Trucks Simplicity packages are our way of providing an even better service to our operators, with tools and offers that will help ensure the optimum performance of these fantastic new trucks.”

The UK Fuel Eco pack comprises three key elements to drive further fuel savings.  Firstly, five months free trial of Optifleet, Renault Trucks’ telematics solution.  All medium and heavy duty vehicles in the new Renault Trucks range are pre-equipped with the appropriate telematics gateway, for quick and easy activation at delivery.  Full training on the use of the system is included.

Secondly, the Fuel Eco pack includes Renault Trucks’ proven one day Optifuel driver training course.  In addition to providing advice and guidance in rational driving for optimal fuel efficiency and safety, the course counts as seven hours towards a drivers’ CPC.

Thirdly, the Fuel Eco pack encompasses a specific bundle of features identified to give further fuel saving benefits.  These include Renault Trucks’ Softcruise and Ecoroll systems, plus an optimised gear shift pattern, engine idle shutdown, a clutchable compressor and a variable flow power steering pump.

“With the new range, fuel savings of up to 5% are possible depending on application and driving style, due to the innovative, aerodynamic design and engineering of the new product,” comments Nigel.  “With the Fuel Eco pack we are giving operators all the tools at our disposal to improve this still further and boost their bottom line, as well as improving driver comfort and safety, though better, more anticipative driving styles.”

With the second pack; Renault Trucks Simplicity - the company is building on its total cost of ownership approach by offering operators either a free two year service and inspection deal on all new heavy rigids or a free two year repair and maintenance contract on all new tractors.

Nigel continues: “Reliability and efficiency are crucial to any transport operation.  The 10 million kilometres of real life testing on our new product range in real customer situations has proved their reliability over the last couple of years.  The Renault Trucks Simplicity package backs our faith in the quality and reliability of the new ranges.  It provides our operators with the route to have their new vehicles professionally maintained within our approved Renault Trucks UK network, using genuine parts and technicians fully trained in the new technology. Without doubt, this will help to maintain the productivity and value of these working tools.”

The two new packages will be available on all new heavy D range distribution, T range long haul and C and K range construction truck orders placed before 31 December 2013.
